Mission
What Do we Offer
MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS
Colors of Courage Corporation provides supportive mentorship programs designed to help children and youth build confidence, develop leadership skills, and discover their potential. Through positive role models, creative activities, educational support, goal-setting, and meaningful community engagement, we create safe and encouraging spaces where young people can express themselves, learn valuable life skills, and feel empowered to succeed. Our mentorship efforts place a special focus on children of veterans, military families, underserved youth, and young people who may benefit from additional guidance and positive connections within their community.
EDUCATIONAL OUTINGS & FIELD TRIPS
Colors of Courage Corporation believes that learning extends beyond the classroom. Through our Educational Outings & Field Trips, we provide children and youth with opportunities to explore new environments, discover different career paths, experience arts and culture, and engage in hands-on learning. Outings may include visits to museums, colleges, cultural attractions, businesses, community organizations, and other educational destinations. Our goal is to broaden each child’s experiences, spark curiosity, and expose them to opportunities and possibilities they may not otherwise have access to—all within a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.
COMMUNITY READING & STORYTELLING
Colors of Courage Corporation promotes literacy, creativity, and meaningful community engagement through interactive reading and storytelling experiences for children and youth. Our volunteers and community partners bring stories to life through public readings, engaging discussions, and age-appropriate activities that encourage children to participate, ask questions, and use their imagination. Through these experiences, we aim to build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, inspire a love of reading, and create positive connections between children and their community.
CREATIVE WELLNESS THROUGH ART
Colors of Courage Corporation provides veterans and children of veterans with creative, art-based experiences that encourage self-expression, connection, relaxation, and emotional well-being. Through painting, creative projects, and guided group activities, participants are provided a welcoming and supportive environment to express themselves, connect with others, and use creativity as a positive outlet. Our programs are recreational and wellness-focused and are not intended to replace professional art therapy or mental health treatment.
VETERAN TRANSITION & RESOURCE SUPPORT
Colors of Courage Corporation supports veterans as they transition from military service into civilian life by helping connect them with valuable resources, programs, and community services. We provide guidance and referrals for areas such as employment and career development, education, housing resources, benefits, wellness services, entrepreneurship, and community support. Our goal is to help transitioning veterans identify available resources, build meaningful connections, and confidently navigate the next chapter of their lives.
COMMUNITY WELLNESS & OUTREACH
Colors of Courage Corporation is committed to strengthening our communities through health, wellness, and service-based initiatives. We host community health walks, wellness seminars, and educational events that encourage healthier lifestyles, awareness, and positive connections. Our outreach efforts also include providing meals, essential items, and compassionate support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and hardship. Through service, education, and community engagement, we strive to promote wellness, dignity, and hope for those we serve.
CHILDREN & FAMILY ESSENTIALS SUPPORT
Colors of Courage Corporation supports children and families experiencing hardship by providing toys, clothing, school supplies, and other essential items when resources are available. Through donations, community partnerships, seasonal drives, and outreach initiatives, we strive to bring comfort, dignity, and joy to children in need while helping families access basic necessities and additional community resources.
CHARITY EVENTS & COMMUNITY AWARENESS
Colors of Courage Corporation hosts fundraising and charitable events designed to bring communities together while raising awareness and support for important health, social, and community issues affecting children, veterans, individuals, and families. Through fundraisers, educational events, community partnerships, and public awareness initiatives, we strive to encourage meaningful conversations, connect people with helpful resources, support charitable causes, and inspire positive change within the communities we serve.

The dedicated team at CCC consists of passionate individuals committed to providing the highest level of care and support to our Tampa Bay Community.
About The Founder
Based in the Tampa Bay area, Colors of Courage was founded by U.S. Army veteran, entrepreneur, and community advocate Jody Pilgrim in June 2026. However, Jody’s commitment to philanthropy and community service began long before the organization was formally established.
Over the years, Jody has led and supported numerous community initiatives focused on veterans, youth, families, and underserved communities. Her outreach has included feeding and providing essential supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness, donating toys to children and families in need, hosting free creative experiences for veterans, organizing community health and wellness events, and developing educational and art-based programs designed to encourage creativity, mentorship, self-expression, and personal growth.

A proud U.S. Army veteran with 10 years of military service, Jody brings a strong foundation of leadership, service, and resilience to her philanthropic work. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Psychology and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Her background in psychology, business, military leadership, and program management has helped shape her approach to creating sustainable programs that combine education, creativity, wellness, and meaningful community engagement.
Jody has dedicated her time to using art, education, mentorship, and outreach as tools to bring people together and create opportunities for those in need.
Colors of Courage represents the next chapter of that mission—building upon years of grassroots service to create a dedicated organization focused on supporting veterans and their children, local youth, and underserved communities through art, education, mentorship, creative wellness programs, scholarships, and community outreach.
